Japanese Encephalitis (JE) is a viral infection spread through mosquito bites, mainly in parts of Asia and the Western Pacific. Although rare in travellers, severe cases can lead to brain inflammation, seizures, paralysis and long-term neurological complications.

Common Symptoms of Malaria

Atovaquone/Proguanil (Malarone)

A daily tablet commonly chosen for short trips and often well tolerated. Usually started 1–2 days before travel and continued for 7 days after return.
